About the 37 x 37 Homestead Expansion, Part III
There's a problem with it, and you may find it hard to complete.
The trouble is that it requires five (5) feather beds which, when you list all the ingredients, require:
25,000 coins and
10 downy feathers.
The problem is getting the downy feathers. They come only from completing the Chicken Coop or the Goose collections. The Chicken Coop collection is a relic of the past and impossible to complete these days. The Goose Collection would be possible, but it would take forever.
You could buy your way out with, I think, 85 horseshoes which if you bought 465 for $35 would prorate to $6.80 in real US dollars, although you'd have to spend the whole $35.
As it happens, I just completed Part III in an odd way. I had enough materials to make one feather bed and I was wondering if I cared enough about the Expansion to spend real money on horseshoes, when I happened to open a bunch of care packages I'd gotten from various neighbors whose names I didn't notice. The first four packages contained feather beds. I knew that care packages supposedly contain 'items you need to complete your missions,' but I didn't believe it. I have occasionally gotten timely gifts from Frontier Jack, but that was before the recent deluge of care packages. Maybe it's all true.
Just as oddly, today I got some downy feathers from a neighbor as a wall bonus. Curiouser and curiouser.
So, if you're trying to complete Part III, check your care packages. I'd be interested to know if it works for you.
